Description

Founded in 1970 on the initiative of Princess Grace of Monaco and chaired by HRH the Princess of Hanover since 1984, the Printemps des Arts de Monte-Carlo is a music festival whose artistic direction has been provided since May 2021 by the composer and conductor Bruno Mantovani. The latter offers a program that questions history by establishing a real dialogue between the works presented in the same evening.

Middle Ages and contemporary creation, traditional music and jazz: the Printemps des Arts confronts languages, aesthetics, schools and builds bridges between musicians who are a priori distant. Until 2024, the festival will address the question of the stylistic evolution of many composers by presenting their first and last opuses. Particular attention is paid to the dialogue between music and other forms of artistic expression: dance, theater and even gastronomy will take part in this celebration of sound hedonism. The Printemps des Arts invites its spectators to a veritable whirlwind of music, a whirlwind of the senses and the mind, a whirlwind of discovery and sharing.
