Dedication with Claude Puel

The autobiographical book Free " of Claude Puel recounts his journey as a French coach. Claude Puel is an emblematic player of theAS Monaco between 1978 and 1996, and became its coach in 1999. He won the championship the following year. From 2002 to 2008, he coached Lille, taking them to second place in the championship and was elected best French coach by his peers in 2005 and 2006. He then led OL and Nice to the European Cup before leaving train in England (Southampton, Leicester).

With nearly 1500 matches on the clock (including 600 as a player), he became the most experienced French coach in practice.

In this very personal story, he tells behind the scenes of his career as a player and as a coach. From the little boy whose parents didn't have enough money to buy him cleats at the Champions League, from the OM-VA affair to the death of Leicester owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in the crash of his helicopter which had just taken off from the stadium in 2018, Puel has had countless footballing adventures. The latest of which, the recovery of theAS Saint-Etienne, is not the least epic.
